TWRP Flasher Tool for Redmi Note X and Snapdragon

Do you want to root your newly owned Redmi Note 4X or Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon variant? Both phone have the same codename “Mido” and both are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. However, in order to obtain root access on the phone, you will need to firstly install TWRP. This custom recovery is the only recovery interface capable to properly flash SuperSU, a root exploit package. As with many other custom recovery, you need to flash it through ADB Fastboot interface.

Luckily, there is a toolkit that allows you to do the task automatically without typing (and remembering) any CLI command. Simply download this Windows-based tool and use it to flash official TWRP image onto your 5.5″ smartphone. The recovery image has also included within the Flasher Toolkit. Nevertheless, unlike any modified version of TRWP (like Cofface or ZCX), the original one needs you to flash Dm-verity and Forced Encryption Disabler prior to flashing TWRP or otherwise your phone might fail to boot.

This toolkit is not exactly a Windows-based root tool but it makes your steps to root one step closer. ALl you need to do once you have TWRP flashed is just to flash SuperSU package.
