Odin is basically a ROM flashing tool, Windows-based, to flash and/or update any Samsung devices with corresponding Android ROM: either Stock or Custom ROM. However, most Samsung users simply call it as “firmware“. Moreover, Odin can also flash root exploit into the device to gain root access on it. This piece of software is a very useful utility especially when the device (either smartphone or tablet) is in bricked or in bootloop condition.
