Based on Android 8.1.0 Oreo and is Project Treble ready, this custom ROM can boost the performance of your Redmi Note 5. This build is intended for Redmi Note 5 with codename Whyred. This includes the Indian Pro variant, Global, and China Variant. Please bear in mind that it is not meant for Redmi Note 5 India, codename Vince, which is basically Redmi 5 Plus.
It has pretty similar key features to AEX ROM. Mokee ROMs are supported with latest security patch update by its developer not so long after any new release by Google. Moreover, the update can also be delivered through over the air mechanism (OTA). This type of update will surely save bandwidth and time. It can be delivered quicker. On top of that, since it is based on AOSP, the overall performance will be sleek and smooth which many developers call it as “lag free”.

Additionally, you will need either TWRP or RWRP to flash this ROM’s image file. This also does not come with built-in Google Apps. You can use either MindTheGapps for Android 8.1.0 or OpenGapps. Choose ARM64.
