It comes with cool key features and awesome improvements planted under the hood. In a short explanation, Android ROM (Android Read Only Memory) is basically known as a system image file containing the executable instructions of an Android OS and essential apps like Google Apps (Play Store, Drive, GMail, etc - Except MIUI China build). The terms "stock ROM" is an official ROM by phone manufacturer (which in this case is Xiaomi) and it usually comes installed on the phone or tablet. On the other hand, a "custom ROM" built by a third party and is usually a modified ROM from the official stock one.
As usual, Xiaomi always rolls out two build of its ROM: the Fastboot ROM and Recovery ROM. Fastboot ROM is released with .tgz extension while Recovery ROM is released with .zip extension. Both builds can be used to do clean install on your MIUI device but Fastboot ROM is the one if you need to totally reinstall your phone’s Android OS. It is also useful when your phone is bricked or in bootloop state.
Find out the differences from a quick knowledge base of MIUI ROM below:
Stable vs Developer ROMs
MIUI Stable ROMs are the most stable ROM with the least amount of bugs. Stable ROMs are made by MIUI Official Developers and are updated once per month, bi-monthly or even longer without a specific update frequency depending on how much time needed for solving bugs. Users who prefer a stable and bug-free release and doesn't want to try out new features immediately, should stick with this ROM.
Developer ROMs (also known as Beta ROMs) are also made by MIUI Official Developers but is updated weekly. MIUI Dev ROMs receive quicker new features but are more prone to bugs and thus is not recommended for users who use only one phone. Ordinary users should not stick with this ROM unless if they have some adventurous souls.
Ported ROMs are made by unofficial or third-party developers and are mostly based on the Developer ROM. Ported ROMs usually contain much more bugs than Developer ROMs as the ROM it's based on is not made for the device but rather a device of similar specifications.China vs Global build
China Build MIUI ROMs usually come with more features than Global ROMs but DO NOT contain Google Apps and Services (GAPPS)/ Instead, there are some Chinese apps and services. This build is intended for Chinese users. However, any users around the world can still use this build since it also has English language included.
Global Build MIUI ROMs usually come with English as the default language and with multilanguages for certain devices. On the contrary, this build comes with full GAPPS and without the Chinese apps and services. International users should stick with this build.
Recovery vs Fastboot ROMs
Recovery ROMs are usually used to flash the current ROM you're using or to flash an update file without much fuss and no risk of losing data. It can be flashed to MIUI device easily through MIUI Updater app.
Fastboot ROMs add in the capability of flashing to an older ROM but has a steeper learning curve. It requires Mi Flash tool and the device should be in Fastboot mode.

Words of caution!
This ROM file is intended only for Redmi 5 Plus (codename Vince). Please do not attempt to flash it on Redmi 5 (codename Rosy) or otherwise it might break your device.
Additionally, switching to Global Stable requires you to wipe your data if your phone currently runs MIUI 9 Developer / Beta version (either Global/China) or if it is on MIUI 9 China Stable. Hence, do not forget to firstly create a proper backup in the safe place.
Hi sir,
This rom is for 32 Gb or for 64 Gb? Please

You can simply re-unlock its bootloader and flash a fastboot ROM. Alternatively, use Xiaomi Tool. It can automatically download and flash corresponding MIUI version without having to UBL. Refer to our previous guide: https://androidfilebox.com/tips/how-to-flash-any-miui-rom-automatically-with-no-bootloader-unlock/
Thanks for your reply but I tried this method it’s not working at global roms. When I tried Chinese rom it’s ok. Do you know which global Rom working on locked statue??
Then you have to re-unlock your phone bootloader and flash the fastboot ROM
