MIUI 8 v8.1.2.0.MBFMIDI Global Stable ROM for Redmi Note 4 MTK

Here there are direct download links to grab MIUI 8 Global Stable ROM v8.1.2.0.MBFMIDI of both Recovery (zip) and Fastboot (tgz) build for Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 codename Nikel. As we all have known, the phone is powered with Mediatek MT6797 Helio X20 chipset featuring deca-core processors (CPUs), Mali-T880 MP4 GPU, and 2GB/3GB RAM (variant dependent). The phone is shipped with MIUI 8 running on its 5.5-inches display.

Xiaomi has rolled out MIUI 8 Global Stable ROM version 8.1.2.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. According to its official site, the MIUI Developer team has added new feature enhancements including:

Optimization - Ringtones and sound effects

Lockscreen, Status Bar, Notification Bar
Fix - Earphones icon stayed in the status bar after the earphones were disconnected

Camera
Optimization - Switch for starting the camera using volume buttons

Settings
New - Introducing Privacy protection password

Fix - Couldn't use fingerprint payments in Alipay
Fix - Scrolling screenshots issues

As usual, Xiaomi always rolls out two build of its ROM: the Fastboot ROM and Recovery ROM. Fastboot ROM is released with .tgz extension while Recovery ROM is released with .zip extension. Both builds can be used to do clean install on your MIUI device but Fastboot ROM is the one if you need to totally reinstall your phone’s Android OS.
