Download a fully working build of Android One 7.1 Nougat ROM for Xiaomi Mi 5X. The build is ported originally from Mi A1 official ROM version N2G47H 7.8.23. This amazing piece of work was done by someone known as heli0us at MIUI forum. It is very interesting to have Android One ported from Mi 5X’s brother since both device (Mi 5X and Mi A1) sport similar hardware under the hood. The only differences are that the 5X is not running Android One and has no Corning Gorilla Glass protecting its screen.
The one who ported it confirmed this version works flawlessly on Mi 5X. However, since the build does not include firmware, anyone who intends to use this ROM needs to firstly make sure that his/her phone runs official version of MIUI. Please be aware that the 5X is so far a China-only model and therefore many 5X shipped from China sometimes run a modded/hacked/fake MIUI ROM.
Finally, if you want to flash and experience Android One on your Mi 5X then simply download it from the link below and flash it through TWRP. Inevitably, your phone bootloader should have been unlocked officially. Please refer to this article to guide you on how to unlock Mi 5X bootloader officially. Additionally, you will also need Cofface TWRP to be able to flash the zip file.
