This is the unofficial build of the Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) for Xiaomi Redmi 4X (codename Santoni) to make it compatible running any Android 8.x Oreo-based ROM. Previously, we have seen other versions of TWRP for the device running 6.x Marshmallow and 7.x Nougat. Thankfully, with the release of this new build, its users can now enjoy flashing Oreo-based ROM including Android 8.1.
It has similar key features of the official build. Users can enjoy flashing SuperSU, Magisk, custom ROMs, or any binary and image packages to the phone effortlessly. The file is available as a flash-able .img file which means users with any previous version of TWRP can simply flash it directly on their phone. Those without custom recovery installed need to flash it via ADB interface on a computer.
