Use this mod to activate and enable the full ultra HD 4K video recording feature on Redmi Note 5 Pro (codename Whyred). This mod will also enable Camera2 API required for manual camera settings. It means you can take advantage of advanced camera apps like Google Cam, Fv5, and Lightroom Mobile app camera.
This mod works simple but it really powerful. However, this can only be employed only if your phone has been rooted systemlessly using Magisk, That is because this mod is a magisk module. You will need to download the zip file and install it on your phone using Magisk Manager app.

Please be aware that it is not a camera app. It is a simple tweak to enable advanced abilities of your phone. The abilities are already there planted on the phone but they were dormant. Using this module, those abilities will be activated.
Shared by an XDA member known as j1505243, the code of this mode uses base xml config file taken from MIUI Chinese 8.1. Once activated, the 4K shooting feature will appear on your default MIUI camera app.
Again, this mod is developed for Redmi Note 5 Pro although we cannot assure that it will also work on other variants of Redmi Note 5.
